Gathering impressions and dealing with the consequences
11–17 December 2026
Venice — Turin — Rorà
When does a walk turn into an expedition? How much beauty can a person take in two days in Venice? What can you find at a flea market besides something you had absolutely no intention of buying? Why is it sometimes easier to understand dead Egyptians than living contemporaries? What do the first Jewish ghetto and a creative retreat in the mountains have in common? And where is the nearest bar?
God knows what is happening in the world, and the devils seem to know perfectly well what they are doing. It is simply harder for a sane person to get their head around it all. Sometimes you want to diagnose the world rather than a person. But the world does not book an appointment.
So BiljoFest is back in December.
First comes the expedition: the labyrinths of Venice, cicchetti, ombra and gatherings in Andrey Bilzho’s kitchen. Then a train, the Savoyard capital, its famous flea-market celebration, hundreds of stalls filled with other people’s pasts, agnolotti and the Egyptian Museum.
Then comes the Creative Ward in a quiet Alpine village with a complicated history: the Stone Oven House residency. We work on our own books together with Andrey Bilzho.
A book may grow out of a found photograph, a conversation or the impressions of the past few days. Or it may be about something entirely different. A long-postponed text, drawings, a family archive or an idea that has been demanding attention for years without doing anything on its own will all do.
You can choose the expedition. You can be admitted straight to the ward. But it is better to take the full course.
