Saturday 4 July, 6:00 PM sharp — Concert by pianist Ksenia Fedorova and drummer Araik Vietinghoff. This time we'll start right on time and won't be able to wait for latecomers, as we'd like to continue the evening at another cultural event in Rorà. Please arrive a little early.
If you arrive before 6:00 PM, you are welcome to visit Nicola Bertasi's exhibition, still on view at Stone Oven House.
The duo Fedorova and Vietinghoff works with piano and drums, building music that calls for attentive listening. Their performances sometimes evoke acoustic landscapes inspired by water, birds, wind or distant storms, before suddenly shifting toward more rhythmic, almost hypnotic passages. Each concert takes shape in dialogue with the space, the acoustics and the people present.
After the concert, those who wish may stay for a shared aperitivo dinner, reserved for members of the Stone Oven House association. If you are not yet a member, you can join on the spot. Feel free to bring something to share. You may also leave a donation in support of the association's cultural activities, whether or not you join the dinner.
At 9:15 PM, the evening can continue a few minutes away, in the Waldensian hall in Rorà, with "Les Vaudois: histoire et chants d'un peuple-église", a theatrical and musical performance in tribute to historian and pastor Giorgio Tourn, with traditional Waldensian stories and songs. Two very different events on the same evening, a short walk apart.
The concert is free admission. Donations are welcome.
