Beppe Giampà returns. At Casa col Forno he has already narrated, to the sound of guitar and harmonica, the poems of Cesare Pavese and the texts of Italo Calvino. This time he will surprise us with unreleased pieces, always literary. We will let ourselves be carried away.

BIO
Beppe Giampà (Asti, 2 February 1976). Singer-songwriter and performer of musical-literary readings. In 2009, in collaboration with Giovanni Lodigiani (composer of musicals and film soundtracks for the American market), he recorded his first solo album “E il sentimento brucia”. Passionate about popular stories and cultures, he later wrote a song dedicated to the bandit Delpero, a famous 19th-century brigand of the Langhe and Roero. In 2012 he released the album “I mattini passano chiari”, setting to music some of the poems by Cesare Pavese from the book “Verrà la morte e avrà i tuoi occhi”, earning wide acclaim in literary cafés, clubs, literary festivals and theatres both in Italy and abroad (Germany, Austria and Belgium). He collaborates with Daniele Biacchessi (journalist, writer and editor-in-chief of Radio 24) on “Memorie Letterarie”, a show dedicated to the most important literary works of the Italian Resistance. In 2015 he received the “Ponti di Memoria” prize for civic commitment from the Ponti di Memoria Association and the MEI, under the patronage of the City of Milan. In collaboration with the writer Sergio Gnudi, he wrote and performs two musical-literary readings: “Era Febbraio, storie di Resistenza ed impegno civile” and “Le stagioni in città” (unreleased ballads inspired by the stories of Italo Calvino’s Marcovaldo). In 2016, thanks to a crowdfunding campaign involving 44 co-producers and associations from Italy, France and Belgium, he made the album “Della fatal quiete”, in which he sets to music the poems of some of the most important poets of Italian literature (Foscolo, Leopardi, Carducci, Pascoli and Campana). Thanks to these projects, the singer-songwriter received a letter of commendation from the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. In 2016 he recorded “Canzone per Fausto e Iaio”, which, together with songs by Gang, Massimo Priviero and Gaetano Liguori, is part of the soundtrack of the film “Il sogno di Fausto e Iaio”, freely based on Daniele Biacchessi’s book “Fausto e Iaio, la speranza muore a diciotto anni” (Baldini&Castoldi). In 2018 his latest album came out, “La storia delle storie, il mito Granata che attraversa il ‘900”.
