From 23 to 25 October 2026, at Stone Oven House: "Visione" ("Vision"), a residential retreat dedicated to photography and dance, led by two artists and friends who first met here with us in the summer of 2025: Paola Mongelli and Natasha Pirogova.
From that encounter grew a friendship and a creative collaboration that will now guide us "on a circular, poetic and synesthetic journey through body and space: listening to form as it becomes image, and then returning to breath through movement."
Who is Paola Mongelli
Paola Mongelli is a visual artist and fine-art photographer based in Turin. She studied Stage Design at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts and has devoted herself ever since to fine-art photography, developing a deeply personal approach to traditional darkroom techniques. For over thirty years, her artistic research has explored self-portraiture, shadow and movement — a body of work recently celebrated in a monograph covering her entire career. Since 1998, she has exhibited in Italy and abroad and teaches photography and visual education at several academies and institutions in Turin. This is not the first time her work has crossed paths with Stone Oven House, where she has exhibited before.
Who is Natasha Pirogova
Natasha Pirogova is a dancer, movement artist, dance therapist, movement researcher and guide. For more than thirty years she has accompanied people on transformative journeys through the body, dance and presence. Born in Russia and living in Italy for over three decades, she combines contemplative depth with a refined aesthetic sensitivity, creating a distinctive and highly personal approach to movement. She is the creator of "The Dance of Natasha", the method presented in her book of the same name, in which the body becomes a path to self-knowledge, freedom and personal truth.
