Musical Creation Atelier

The ‘Constellations Musical Maps’ Atelier is aimed at musicians and composers who wish to challenge their creative abilities by working on an artistic piece with a specific theme. Stars and constellations will not only serve as a powerful source of personal inspiration but will also provide precise musical sequences, generated through the original star-to-music transformation system and the Interkosmos software. Each participant can use these sequences as a starting point for their musical creation, applying any musical language and compositional method, as long as it formally includes some elements from the given sequence, with complete freedom in its development and artistic direction.

No prior experience is required to participate. Individual creation will be supervised, and collaboration between participants will be encouraged, especially for the final performance of the work.

Starting from a sequence or theme and choosing how to develop it is a fundamental practice in the centuries-old European classical music tradition. Similarly, the use of numerical procedures and the inclusion of aleatory elements in composition are central to contemporary and electronic music research.

Participation is open to those who compose in a traditional manner or with the help of software, as well as to those who incorporate their musical instrument into the creative process. There are no restrictions on the type of final performance, whether in terms of instruments or ensemble formation. On the contrary, we aim to foster the meeting of diverse musical and personal experiences, seeking to achieve ever-new, unpredictable, and inspiring results.
