Crocodile – A Puppet Performance by Tricktrek Theatre Project

Stone Oven House is delighted to present “Crocodile”, an engaging puppet performance by the Estonian Tricktrek Theatre Project. This nomadic family theater, founded by Alexander and Serafima Andreyev in 2017, is renowned for its handcrafted wooden puppets and inventive storytelling. Their unique approach combines art and engineering, captivating audiences worldwide.

About the Performance:
Based on Roald Dahl’s “The Enormous Crocodile”, “Crocodile” is a humorous tale suitable for children aged 4 to 10. The story follows a cunning and treacherous enormous crocodile who dreams of feasting on a child. He devises a series of clever disguises and tricks, showcasing remarkable feats of camouflage. However, his plans are thwarted as the jungle inhabitants—a hippopotamus, an elephant, and even a monkey—unite against him. The performance features intricately designed wooden puppets, each with its own unique mechanism, bringing the characters vividly to life.

A Show for All Ages:
While “Crocodile” is tailored for young audiences, its witty narrative and artistic craftsmanship make it enjoyable for adults as well. The 30-minute performance is conducted in Russian, offering a delightful experience for the whole family.

Join us at Stone Oven House to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Tricktrek Theatre’s “Crocodile” and witness the magic of mechanical puppetry firsthand!
