On November 25, 2023, Casa col Forno hosted an event dedicated to the global conflicts. Among the contributors was Ekaterina Galaktionova, who presented her drawing series “Cadavere Squisito”. This series was created as a visual diary following February 2022, providing a self-censorship-free expression of the artist’s visions and a personal statement against aggression.

Galaktionova’s work employs the exquisite corps technique, drawing inspiration from surrealist spontaneous creation. The drawings serve as a visual chronicle of the post-invasion period, reflecting the chaos and terror of war, while also documenting the emotional collapse of life as it was known before the conflict.
