“Transumanza” is a sound performance‑research project that traverses Italian territories with the goal of re‑activating and preserving the collective memory of pastoral culture. Through artistic and sonic performance, Santa Cecilia & Semionauta explore the delicate balance between tradition and contemporaneity, transforming stories, traditional instruments and sounds into shared poetic experiences.
The work moves from ritual to contemporary tragedy, investigating the flow of people and cultures in a dialogue between ancestral practices and experimental soundscapes. The performance is rooted in the magical and mythical dimension of the pastoral cultures of Southern Italy, with a focus on Sicily. 

Santa Cecilia & Semionauta blend ancient instruments, organic material and high‑tech sound processes, creating immersive environments where tradition becomes a living, evolving story rather than a fixed museum piece.
