On July 8, 2023, the Stone Oven House residency hosted a unique event featuring a sound performance by Gianni Grandi, exploring the relationship between sound and noise. During his time at the residency, Grandi collaborated with artist Andrey Bilzho, creating a special audio track for Bilzho’s exhibition “ABC — 2022,” enriching the visual experience with sound.

Gianni Grandi is a sound artist and composer who delves into the boundaries between sound and noise. His solo album Dialoghi: libro primo explores the interaction between electronic and environmental sounds. He collaborates with the AVES+ ensemble, known for its improvisation and live electronics. Currently, Grandi is working on a second album inspired by the Greek tragedy Seven Against Thebes by Aeschylus, exploring the theme of conflict through sound. His performance at Stone Oven House captivated the audience with a unique blend of improvisation and electronic harmonies.
