About Becky — Dien Dien (Nadine Borst)

Dien Dien, the artistic pseudonym of Nadine Borst, presents About Becky, a project that explores the tensions between technology, perception, and human experience through a multidisciplinary lens. Born in the Netherlands in 1988 and currently based in Berlin, Borst works across photography, video, text, soundscapes, illustration, graphics, sculpture, and performance, crafting narratives that expose the hidden structures of our world.

Her practice revolves around the power of art to render the invisible visible, opening spaces for reflection on urgent contemporary issues such as climate change, digital surveillance, perceptual disorders, and collective resilience. Through meticulous observation and a deliberate use of materials, About Becky becomes a deep investigation into trust and truth in an era of uncertainty.

Borst’s work has been featured in notable exhibitions, including De Rechtbank (2022), a show in a former Amsterdam courthouse examining the nature of truth, and In Superposition (2020), a solo exhibition in Utrecht focused on the unseen.

With About Becky, Dien Dien continues her exploration, constructing immersive scenarios that challenge perception and invite the audience to question the relationships between self, society, and the narratives that shape reality.
