Il Sentiero si tratta camminando. Federico Basso

Stone Oven House presents Il Sentiero si tratta camminando, an exhibition by Federico Basso, a Piedmontese artist trained in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. Basso lives in Torre Pellice and, during his two-week residency at Casa col Forno, he reached the house every day on foot, making the experience of walking an essential part of his creative process.

The exhibition showcases a series of drawings born directly from these daily journeys. Each work reflects the evolving connection between the artist and the landscape, where the act of walking is not just a means of movement but a way of tracing and understanding space. The path takes shape through repetition, observation, and the physical imprint left by each step.

Through delicate yet expressive lines, Basso captures the rhythm of movement and the fleeting impressions of nature encountered along the way. His work invites viewers to consider walking as both a meditative and transformative act, where the journey itself becomes a form of creation.
