The New Orchestra — From Mountain Communities to the Community of the Future

A project interweaving art, landscape, and human connection, born from artistic residencies within various Alpine and Apennine communities.
“The New Orchestra” invites reflection on the meaning of community — rediscovering collaboration, mutual care, and the imagination of shared and sustainable futures.

The project is presented at the National Mountain Museum in Turin, where it takes the form of a collective reflection on coexistence and the communities of the future.
During the summer, artist Olivia Mihălțianu spent two weeks in residence at Stone Oven House in Rorà, contributing to the project’s ongoing research.

Combining artistic and social dimensions, the experience develops through dialogue with residents, cultural institutions, and local organizations.
Stone Oven House collaborates on the project alongside the National Mountain Museum, the Nuto Revelli Foundation, and other institutions active in Alpine territories.

Curated by Andrea Lerda, the project features artists Hannes Egger, Olivia Mihălțianu, Rebecca Moccia, Emilija Škarnulytė, Eugenio Tibaldi, and the collective Plurale — a new orchestra of experiences that resonates through the mountains, transforming memory into a shared vision of the future.
